Making a difference to enablers

We are seen as the UK’s foremost supplier of specialist, independent wind industry supply chain, technology and innovation support to public-sector enablers and key industry stakeholders.

We have a deep understanding of the market and its technology and a network of contacts at the highest level within many businesses in the wind industry, both in the UK and overseas. Combining these, we are able to turn ideas into opportunities and help progress these at the pace required to keep in step with the wind industry.

We provide:

  • Market analysis, sector understanding and economic impact assessment to inform policy and sharpen the understanding of opportunities.
  • Introductions to help grow new relationships and opportunities.
  • Business development, inward investment and strategy advice to enablers and to companies that they support (both in groups and hands-on on a one-to-one basis).
  • Technology, strategy and selection advice and programme management services for R&D programmes.
  • Wind industry training courses and presentations on market and technical trends.

We have played a pivotal role in accelerating the dialogue between the wind industry and UK ports, leading to major wind turbine manufacturers announcing their intention to establish UK facilities. Underpinning this success has been our understanding of Continental player’s requirements, respect for port-owners’ positions and our commitment and creativity to find solutions.

By bringing key people together we helped change the course of industry players, from aerospace majors looking to entering the sector to technology providers that have been involved for many years.

We have authored keynote reports on the offshore wind industry and its supply chain for UK Government’s Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), The Crown Estate, Renewable UK and a number of regional enablers, combining analysis and industry intelligence to identify and articulate key opportunities.

We have been involved in most UK publicly funded wind innovation programmes in recent years, maximising the relevance of research to the wind industry, growing technical knowledge within research organisations and accelerating the progress to market of new products.
