Jess undertakes a variety of tasks at BVG Associates, primarily centred on research, data gathering and data presentation for wind energy supply chain and development projects both within the UK and abroad. Her key areas of interest are the promotion of the UK offshore wind supply chain, onshore site selection and feasibility analysis, and in the environmental aspects of wind farm development.

Jess has assisted the delivery of a number of projects by organising and undertaking information gathering, data research and analysis, and facilitating dialogue with the industry. Recent projects have included organising a UK offshore wind supplier day for Alstom, connecting them to over 80 UK companies to discuss requirements and capabilities for their new 6MW offshore wind turbine, providing an updated forecast for the deployment of offshore wind in the UK to 2016 for RenewableUK by engaging with all UK offshore wind developers, and analysing all the contract values associated with the Robin Rigg wind farm to find the UK content.

Jess joined BVG Associates after completing an MSci in Physical Geography at Bristol University, which had a particular emphasis on modelling and analysing the effects of climate change on the physical environment.
