Alun leads projects in supply chain analysis and development, research facilitation and skills analysis. He has led projects for The Crown Estate to produce A Guide to an Offshore Wind Farm and a careers guide for offshore wind. A recent project has been to lead our industry survey work to build the most solid picture yet of what industrialisation looks like today in UK wind, both offshore and onshore. Alun employs his communications skills in delivering workshops on the offshore wind industry for enabling bodies.

Alun joined BVG Associates in 2008 from Research Councils UK, the partnership of the seven Research Councils, where he headed external relations. He therefore has provided the interface with a large number of organisations and central Government. Previously he worked as a specialist for the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee, where he project managed high profile inquiries on a range of political and technical issues.

Much of Alun’s career has been in scientific communications and he uses a broad range of communication skills to enhance the impact of our projects. He has a BSc and PhD from the universities of Birmingham and London respectively.
